ABOUT OUR RIDING LESSONS

After filling out a client application, please download the medical release form to be signed by your physician. Contact us to schedule an evaluation at 832-451-6874.

We offer group and private therapeutic riding lessons. All lessons are taught by a credentialed PATH Intl. Instructor (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International). Programs are individually tailored to the needs of each client.

Once the medical release form and online application are completed, an evaluation must be scheduled in order to enroll. Please contact our office at 832-451-6874 to schedule an evaluation.  This lasts approximately 30 minutes and is conducted by one of our instructors.  During this time we will discuss goals and identify an ideal class time. Individuals do not ride during the evaluation, however closed toed shoes must be worn as the horses will be visited.
 

  • Individualized instruction

  • Trained Sidewalkers and Horse Leaders provided as appropriate

  • Safety equipment is provided

  • Each lesson is 45-60 minutes in duration *We do offer a few 30 minute private lessons for clients that need them.

  • Minimum  semester (typically 6-8 weeks) program enrollment, renewable on a semester

  • Clients are typically seen once a week on a regularly scheduled appointment

  • Our lesson sessions are Spring I, Spring II, Summer, Fall I, and Fall II. 

  • We do not off "one time" riding lessons or trail rides. Individuals much enroll in a session.

  • Sessions can be prorated in an client joins mid session.

 

People ages two and up with a wide variety of common diagnoses benefit from therapeutic horsemanship (minimum 2 years old), such as:

  • Anxiety

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders 

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • CVA or Stroke

  • Depression

  • Down syndrome

  • Intellectual Disabilities

  • Learning Disabilities

  • Multiple Sclerosis
